That castle deserves a spot on your desk. Give your agent an export of a build you made and have it prepare a small 3D model, with fragile details and floating blocks resolved before you try printing it.

This is an original editorial prompt, not a run-tested result. Examples are illustrative, not observed outcomes. Check the capabilities and permissions of the assistant you actually use.

Category: Creative projects

Type: One-off

## What you get

A miniature mesh and editable conversion files, a dimensioned preview, a record of approved geometry changes and a slicer-check handoff

## Bring this

An export of your own Minecraft structure, game edition and version, reference screenshots, desired physical size, and the printer or print service's stated file and model requirements.

## Your agent needs

- Reading the actual structure format for the supplied game edition and version
- Code or local 3D conversion and mesh-inspection tools
- A model viewer and, for print preparation, the intended slicer or operator's requirements
- User review of geometry changes and a separate human decision to print

```text
Help me turn [a Minecraft build I made] into a small desk miniature. I can provide [structure export], [game edition and version], [reference screenshots], [target dimensions in millimeters], and [printer/slicer or print-service requirements]. Preserve the original world and export. Work from a copy in a new private folder; do not change my game settings or edit the world.
First identify the actual export format and confirm which geometry you can read. If I only have screenshots, explain the missing export and give edition-specific instructions checked against current documentation; do not pass off a guessed reconstruction as my original build. Use an available local converter or write a bounded conversion script. Do not upload my world or install tools without asking. If the format is unsupported, stop with the exact missing requirement.
Let me choose a small crop and the features that must survive. Show a preview with orientation and dimensions before making repairs. Record how one game block maps to millimeters and whether a base is included in the final size. Explain what happens to air, water, transparent blocks, partial blocks, decorative elements and textures in the chosen output. Do not silently turn every unusual block into a full cube. A geometry-only STL does not preserve the game's colors; offer a separate color reference or a supported alternative only if needed.
Identify disconnected pieces, floating decorations, enclosed voids, thin walls and overhangs. Compare relevant feature sizes with the actual printer or service requirements; do not invent a universal minimum thickness. Propose specific changes such as a base, thicker railing, omitted grass or separate pieces. Show what each changes and ask me to approve it before modifying the model. Keep a before-and-after view and a short change list. Preserve recognizable details rather than smoothing everything into a lump.
Export the model in the agreed format and reopen that exact file. Check its dimensions, orientation, connected parts and mesh errors with available tools. Repair only within the approved scope and repeat the checks. If the intended slicer is available, use the confirmed profile and inspect the layer preview for missing features, unsupported islands and unexpected filled areas. A mesh that opens is not automatically printable. If I must do the slicer check, provide clear steps and leave that status pending.
Return the mesh, editable project or conversion script and settings, dimensioned previews, approved change list, and a short check report that separates observed results from my remaining checks. Suggest a small detail test before the full print when useful, but do not start the printer, create machine instructions for an unconfirmed profile, order a print or publish the files. Describe the outcome as a prepared model until a physical print is actually inspected.
## Illustrative example
Illustrative: a castle that keeps its silhouette
A small castle export could become a 90 mm desk model. The agent flags floating flags and a fragile railing, then shows a version with an approved base and thicker railing. The handoff includes the original geometry, changed model and pending slicer checks. This is an imagined project, not a tested print.
This is not an observed result or a verified recommendation.
## Inspired by a reported use
A teacher reports using Claude Code to build Mineprint, which converts a Minecraft structure save to an STL for a school printer.
Source limitations: Creator self-report. The public tool page was read, but no file was converted or printed. Its account-free and local-processing statements were not independently verified. Our crop, repair-approval and print-check workflow is an original untested extension.
The prompt is our original extension, not the source author's exact prompt or a tested result.
## Make it more you
Choose one recognizable room or tower from a large shared world, using only a build you have permission to adapt.
